This Privacy Policy was last updated in March 2006.

At Main Security Surveillance (“MSS”), your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. As a result, we have adopted the following privacy policy regarding how the information you provide to us during your visit to the Main Security Surveillance, Inc. websites: MSS.com and/or Main Security Surveillance, Inc. (collectively, the “MSS Websites”) is used and maintained. If you visit any other website maintained by Main Security Surveillance or its affiliates, please be sure to refer to the privacy policy and other website terms and conditions posted on that site.

Main Security Surveillance's Privacy Policy applies solely to persons residing in the United States.

Types of Information We Collect

Main Security Surveillance does not collect personal information about you unless you choose to provide that information to us or you choose a service on the MSS Websites that requires you to submit personal information in order to receive the selected service. Personal information may include your name, title, company, address, e-mail address, phone number and the like. Unless specifically stated, we do not require personal information to obtain access to any part of the MSS Websites.

Main Security Surveillance web servers may collect the IP addresses of visitors to the MSS Websites. MSS Websites may also contain an electronic file called a Web beacon or an Action Tag, which allows a Main Security Surveillance or its contractors to count users who have visited that page or to access certain “cookies” (described below). This information may be aggregated to measure the number of visits, average time of visit, pages viewed, etc., in order to measure the use of the MSS Websites and improve content as may be necessary. Main Security Surveillance does not obtain any personal information from your IP address or from any Web beacon or Action Tag on the MSS Website.

In addition, when you view certain parts of the MSS Websites, information may be stored on your computer. This information will be in the form of a “cookie” or similar file and will permit tailoring of the MSS Websites to better match your interests and preferences. Cookies are primarily used to enhance your online experience by aiding navigation and functionality of the MSS Websites. Main Security Surveillance does not obtain any personal information from the cookies placed on your computer.

How We Use the Information That We Collect

Main Security Surveillance uses the personal information that you supply to provide you with information about your account and additional products and services that we think may be of interest to you. We do not share your personal information with third parties, except we may store and disclose personal information as allowed or required by applicable law, including, without limitation, making disclosures (i) that are necessary or advisable to protect the rights, safety and property of Main Security Surveillance or others, (ii) that are necessary or advisable to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and (iii) to contractors who assist in the design of the MSS Websites. MSS does not sell or lease personal information to anyone not affiliated with Main Security Surveillance.

If you send us a resume to apply online for a position with Main Security Surveillance we will use the information provided to evaluate you for available opportunities.

Security of Online Transactions

Some areas of the MSS Websites are not accessible unless you supply certain personal information. For example, in order to access your account via www.MSS.com, you must enter your “user name” and “password”.

Main Security Surveillance has security policies and procedures in place to protect your personal information from loss, misuse or alteration. When you are logged into MSS.com, your personal information is protected by current technology that uses a secure socket layer (SSL) protocol with a required 128-bit encryption key. SSL is an encoding algorithm that encrypts information passed between your computer and Main Security Surveillance in an effort to prevent unauthorized access of your personal information. In addition, our personnel who have access to your data have been trained to maintain the confidentiality of your personal information.

User Name and Password Security

If you have a user name and password for access to the non-public areas of the MSS Websites, you are solely responsible for all activities that occur in connection with your user name and/or password. Main Security Surveillance recommends that you take steps to protect the confidentiality of your user name and password. If you become aware of any disclosure, loss, theft or unauthorized use of your user name and/or password, please notify Main Security Surveillance immediately.

Information You Submit

Except as stated in the paragraphs above, any communication or material you transmit to the MSS Websites by electronic mail or otherwise, including any data, questions, comments, suggestions or the like, is, and will be treated as, non-confidential and nonproprietary. Any such communication transmitted or posted to the MSS Websites shall become the property of Main Security Surveillance or its affiliates and may be used for any purpose.

E-mail Communications and Your Right to Opt-Out

If you provide your e-mail address to us, you consent to our use of your e-mail address to notify you of information that may affect your account, or to provide you with the information you have specifically requested. If you send us an e-mail message, you also consent to our use of your e-mail address to answer the message we received from you. Your e-mail address will not be used for any purpose other than those listed above.

Linked Websites

The MSS Websites may contain links to other websites. These links are meant solely for your convenience. MSS has no control over, and is not responsible for, the information collection practices of the linked websites. Further, your use of the linked websites will be governed by the privacy policies of those sites and not by this Privacy Policy. Main Security Surveillance recommends that you review the privacy policy of each of linked website that you visit, before you provide them with any personal information.

Protecting Children’s Privacy Online

Main Security Surveillance understands the importance of protecting children’s privacy online. The MSS Websites are not intentionally designed for or directed at children under the age of 13 years. It is our policy never to knowingly collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 13.

Changes

MSS may revise this Privacy Policy at any time, without prior notice; however, the most current version of the Privacy Policy will always be available to you by clicking on the link at the top of the MSS Websites. You are encouraged to regularly review this Privacy Policy to ensure that you are aware of any changes.
